What is the estimated time taken for processing of Schengen Visa?
My sister applied for French schengen Visa from the VFS pune office on a Monday on 15th April 2019 and received the passport on 18th April evening with the Visa stamped. So that's 4 days. I have recently submitted my application on 2nd May in VFS Pune and am hoping the same comes through by 8th/9th May 2019. If the same yardstick is applied to my application then there shouldn't be an issue as I have my flight booked for 12th May, Sunday morning. Hoping for the best. Quite anxious till I get my passport in hand before the 10th of May, Friday. Hope this helps to answer the query. In short it shouldnt take more that 4 to 5 working days time. PUNE/020519/00xx/xx is being processed at the Embassy/Consulate 7th May (tuesday) - 2nd message received as Your Visa application Ref no. PUNE/020519/00xx/xx has been Received at Mumbai OC on 7/05/2019 Awaiting dispatch from Mumbai VFS by Blue Dart.. Hopefully should receive the passport by tomorrow.
